Where it started, 2011
Ahimsa Oak Park
Our first studio, opened in May 2011 on South Boulevard. Fifteen years later it is still the room where a lot of our longest standing students practice.

Closest CTA stop is Ridgeland on the Green Line, with Oak Park Ave. not far either. There are outdoor bike racks, please use a U-lock.

Mat rentals are $2. Props are provided.

The space

We are closed between classes, so check the schedule before stopping by.
What to expect at Oak Park
The room is large, with wood beam and tin ceilings. It feels spacious without feeling cavernous, and there is a faint hum of the train across the street that regulars stop noticing after a few classes and then quietly miss when they practice elsewhere.
The Ahimsa School of Sound Healing is based in the lobby here, so you will often find sound events on the calendar alongside the class schedule.
Your membership also works at Berwyn, Elmhurst, Evanston and Chicago, and on live Zoom classes. See every location's schedule.
New to Ahimsa? Take two weeks.
Two weeks of unlimited classes for $65, good here and at all five studios, plus live Zoom. Long enough to try a few teachers and work out what fits your week. Mats and props provided, and no experience needed.
