We will retreat to El Salvador for a week of yoga, adventure, and relaxation at Mizata by Antiresort. Ahimsa Yoga Studio instructor Kim Wade will lead the retreat, supported by Ahimsa owners Masin Ouksel and Kelly Merydith.
The Mizata property is a destination where nature’s wonder meets history, wellness, and self-discovery. Set against the Pacific backdrop, this retreat becomes not just a place to relax but an adventure-filled sanctuary. You’ll have scenic trails, three swimming pools, and the natural volcanic sand beach and surf to keep you active in addition to the many activities we have included for you! As always on our retreats, everything is optional - your choice. Relaxing on the beach or in your deck hammock are also perfect ways to spend your time here.
Interested in surfing? Mizata enjoys 340 days of swell each year. There are five surf breaks within walking distance and a beginner surf break just five minutes down the beach. In your free time, you can rent boards and book a lesson at Mizata.
You’ll find Mizata’s yoga spaces redefine the practice, blending seamlessly with the natural elements. Whether by the oceanfront yoga shala, accompanied by the soothing rhythm of crashing waves, or overlooking the refreshing infinity pool, these settings will elevate our yoga experience, and we can't wait to share them with you! Mats and props will be conveniently provided by the property - no need to bring anything from home unless you want to. We welcome all levels of yoga practitioners to join our retreats!

We love that all the furniture was designed and handcrafted on-site, much of it from local sources, creating an indescribable grounding energy. Whether you choose an oceanfront or jungle bungalow, garden suite, or a captivating tree house, each space is carefully crafted to promote relaxation and rejuvenation. For your comfort and convenience, all rooms have Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a mini-bar, and private bathrooms. Travel solo, with a friend, or as a group (up to 4 people) - the available spaces are versatile to accommodate your needs and desires.

Twice Daily Yoga/Meditation Schedule may vary when there is an excursion planned, but morning meditation/active yoga and evening gentle yoga can be expected.
All Meals à la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner each day. Ingredients are sustainable and locally sourced from fishermen and farmers and intended to honor the Mesoamerican heritage and its people. Filtered water is always available along with three daily non-alcoholic juices, smoothies or drinks. Alcoholic drinks can be purchased at the bar and are not included.
Mayan Blessing Two Mayan shamans will host a spiritual blessing of the energy centers with copal, herbs, and rituals.
Spa Massage Enjoy a 50-minute massage in the on-site Spa.
Unlimited Horseback Rides You will learn to saddle your horse and efficiently ride. Explore trails for adventure and anthropology. The vaqueros (cowboys) are passionate about sharing the way of the horse in a safe and intriguing way. This radical way to disconnect from artificial stimulus and plug into your core self will be an adventure you will never forget!
Waterfalls Trip Day trip to the jungle waterfalls of Tamanique. We will hike into the rainforest to find cascading, refreshing waterfalls that can be jumped, slided or gently walked into, creating a one-of-a-kind experience!
Cliff Hike It is said the cliff that frames Mizata has transformative powers. Hike it on a quick 15-minute cliff tour and view the resort from high above.
Bonfire Release We will enjoy this experience on the final evening of the retreat.
Private Airport Shuttle from El Salvador International Airport (SAL). Transfers take approximately 2 hours and are included at any time on January 12th and 18th. Airfare not included.

The $600 deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel at any point, any payments made are only refundable if you provide a replacement participant approved by Ahimsa. (The full deposit remains non-refundable.)

Arrive into El Salvador International Airport (SAL) airport no later than midnight on 1/12/25. Depart anytime 1/18/25. You are responsible for purchasing your flight - airfare is not included.
