Your First Class

Book a class online or email us to help you with your reservation and come on in about 15 minutes before class begins.

Give your name to our front desk staff and let them know it’s your first time. They’ll give you a little tour of our space and show you where to put your belongings and where the bathrooms are located.

Put your things away - shoes, jackets, bags, and head into the yoga room. Roll out your mat (or rent one for $2), and take some yoga props from the back of the room. We recommend 2 blocks, a strap, 2 blankets, and a bolster.

What to Wear
and Bring

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in - for example: sweatpants, long shorts, yoga pants, and a tank top or t-shirt. Yoga is practiced in bare feet, so leave your shoes in the cubbies.

Bring your yoga mat or rent one from us for $2.

Bring a water bottle if you think you might get thirsty. We have tea and water at all locations if you need a drink.

We have 3 main types of classes

  • Relaxing: Restorative, Yin, Gentle

Restorative, Yin, and Gentle classes follow a different format. Most poses are taken lying down your back, and the classes don’t require too much physical exertion. You will get a good stretch and feel very relaxed afterward!

  • Mixed Level: Hatha, Therapeutic, Anusara, Iyengar

Most alignment based classes like these begin in a pose seated or supine pose and a breathing exercises or meditation. That leads into a gentle warm up and some standing, seated, supine, or hands and knees poses for 30-40 minutes. Classes end with cool down to stretch your warm muscles, and come to a culmination in a resting pose lying down on your back. Your instructor will guide you back up to a seated position and close your practice.

  • Flow: Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Vinyasa

Vinyasa flow classes begin in a seated or supine position and are followed by a gentle warm up. Sun salutations are used to create heat in the body, and are followed by and combined with standing poses, flows, balances, and stretches. Class cools down with stretches and ends in savasana and a seated pose to close the practice.
